What to Do When Your Character Doesn't Cooperate...

So I was working diligently, typing along quite nicely, wrapped in the snug story coming out of my fingertips when all of a sudden, WHAM!

All of a sudden my heroine's soon-to-be love interest decides to detour. He's brought a date do dinner.

What to do, what to do....business associate? Fixer-upper? Have the mysterious female be the (gasp!) sister I didn't plan on?

Since I'm still establishing mutual attraction, maybe the first one. After all, in a family business, especially when being catered by a chef who puts mouth-watering food on the table, this wouldn't be out of the ordinary?

Check back later and find out where this decides to go.

I would definitely avoid the sister option. That one is done A LOT.

Good luck!

She's the ex wife trying to keep her claws in her man. He didn't want her along but ex showed up anyway "coincidentally". OR She's an alien from outer space joining forces with the restraunt wait staff to slip mickies into all the drinks for world domination. OR She's a ghost only your heroine can see only she doesn't realize it because heroine has NEVER SEEN GHOSTS BEFORE. OR she's a doppleganger for the heroine only the doppleganger is naughty naughty and heroine doesn't realize it right away cause doppleganger is dressed so sexy she doesn't recognize herself.

Or she's Remmy in human form, to spy on the recipes?? Too funny, Kelly!
