“Every few weeks she would shut herself up in her room, put on her scribbling suit, and fall into a vortex, as she expressed it, writing away at her novel with all her heart and soul, for till that was finished she could find no peace.” (Little Women, the scene which resonated with me when I began putting pen to paper!)

"Life is worth living as long as there's laughter in it." (Anne of Green Gables)
"A person's a person, no matter how small." (Horton Hears A Who)
“When you think things are bad, when you feel sour and blue, when you start to get mad...you should do what I do! Just tell yourself, Duckie, you're really quite lucky! lol I have seen a few of us 'not giving a damn' so far- myself included ;) Oh, I had to google some to double check exactly what that quote was, or where it was from. My brain is a mess of quotes and lyrics. Enjoyed your post!
"A person's a person, no matter how small." (Horton Hears A Who) EVERYONE should remember this quote, esp. in leiu of our present condition in this country!!!! Great blog post
How could I forget Rhett? Or something from Star Wars. Although I probably would have selected "I Know" as they were freezing Han.
I also automatically thought of Rhett (but, I didn't list the quote). I can really identify with the Little Women quote. I enjoyed your list!
You and I used a couple of the same quotations, but the former schoolteacher in me feels compelled to point out that "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" is from A Tale of Two Cities.
YIKES! Thanks Ed; went back in and corrected it!!!
@Peggy: Exactly!
@Helen: LOL....forgot about THAT one!
@Robin: Thank you:)
@Maureen: I obviously forgot to google the Dickens' quote....*head slap*
We were on the same wave length with Rhett Butler and Dickens!
Posting one of your own quotes is fine with me. A good one, by the way. I love your choices for Little Women and Anne of Green Gables. Have fun at your convention this weekend.
@Mary: Thank you! Had a wonderful time:)
Love Horton Hears A Who. Now that I'm catching up with reading, there are some that stick out to me I could have used. Oh well, I will just enjoy what others have put.
@Meka: Me too; while reading others, I realized I'd forgotten some of them:) Think the only one I added was the HP quote after the fact:) Really enjoyed reading everyone else's!
