Psst....Wanna Meet An Alien?

Welcome to the Bad Boy Blog Hop!  To read about more bad boys, go here:)

It is with some trepidation that I introduce General DuKah of the Xaxonian Command, now in charge of the Xaxonian side of the Tri-Xa Space Station.

If you've ever watched Star Trek, DS9, here's whom he loosely resembles:

My dear Kenzie, if I may....I am much better looking that him!  Yes, I can see why you'd post a picture of....him.  We both wear black, but I most certainly do NOT have those...those...things around my face.

Apologies, DuKah.  I was only trying to give the readers a visual.

They get quite an eyeful, as it were, in some of the scenes you wrote when I'm with my darling Secondary.

So how did you, of all people, get involved with someone from a neighboring planet?

(sighs)  Must we go through this again?  Her brother was her planet's ambassador, and for whatever reason, LoGar brought her with him.  I liked what I saw; most of the TriJupian females are timid, spineless creatures, but SaLie was different.  I sensed a longing in her, something that went way beyond simple adventure.  (taps his chin)  You know, I suspect that under that prim hairstyle and conservative clothing beats the heart of caged tiger. Am I right?

We're not here to talk about me.  I want to the readers to understand you a little better-

Ah, come on, Kenzie....I've observed you at the bar, singing that delightfully saucy song and rubbing up against-

DUKAH!  Remember, you have SaLie!

(holds up hands)  I'm not insinuating anything.  Come back to the station with me and take your pick of the clientele at Ple'Suh.  I'll set you up with your own band, and you can let that tiger out to play.  What do you say?

I think this conversation's over.  I'm a married woman and the thought of space travel makes me queasy.

Pity. I think my second-in-command would enjoy a show.

Ahem.  Book #3 of The Chosen, Best of Both Worlds, released last week in kindle format, and as soon as I figure out the cover issues, the print version should follow soon.

Blurb:
No stranger to controversy, SaLie SiLah is offered a position on the newly opened Tri-Xa space station. Expecting to further her relationship with the father of her child, SaLie learns she will be working closely with her childhood sweetheart. Will her eyes be opened to the fact love has been within her reach this entire time?

Dr. JeTil PaHej thought SaLie was his Chosen when they were seniors at the Academy, but he hadn’t counted on her infatuation with the Xaxonian commander of the new space station. When he learns SaLie will be joining him on the medical team, he forms an unlikely alliance with DuKah, in order to win his woman back. Will the ploy work, or will the deception turn her against both men?

Excerpt:
"I have a surprise for you. Remember my special room, in which you, JeWal, and I shared so much pleasure the last two years?”

SaLie felt his cock twitch and clenched her muscles, sucking in her breath when a spasm hit, reliving the pleasure she’d last felt, sandwiched between the two men. “Oh yes.  But they have detained JeWal. There are speculations of mistreatment of other women.” She kissed DuKah’s neck. “I admit, being Joined to him was not pleasant. I much prefer our alone times, or with you both, instead of being with him.”

DuKah exhaled. “Yes, I made an error in judgment, extending our leave on your planet last year. Did you know your brother had a surveillance team on him? During your confinement, he was not so gentle while taking his pleasure with females of his liking.”

SaLie gritted her teeth. “He does not have much patience with anything.” Looking up at him, she traced one of his flat nipples with her nail. “Have you found someone else willing to play with us?”

He cupped her chin with his free hand and smiled. “Indeed I have, but that’s not the surprise. I have opened a rather exclusive club on the Xaxonian side of the station. No one is allowed in without a membership, and the clients are carefully screened, especially other species. Members can bring guests, but we ask everyone to sign a confidentiality clause.” DuKah’s hand caressed her jaw, then dropped down to play with the nipple of her left breast. “I miss seeing these swollen from the clamps. Tomorrow, I will take you to the club and indulge ourselves.”

Best of Both Worlds is LIVE!!!

Update:
If you've watched any of my FB pages the last week, then you know one of my publishers, SCP, closed its doors Aug 31st.  I was shocked; then angry, since #3 of The Chosen was supposed to be published on Sept 9th!  I already had to proof copy and was gearing up for The Promotional Tour.  How could this have happened?  Eventually, I did calm down and decided to self-pubb BOBW, since it was already to go.  My cover artist redid my covers first (thank you Dawne!), and I proceeded to investigate Create Space and Kindle Direct Publishing.  I finally managed to upload BOBW to KDP on Sunday, and had to make one minor adjustment yesterday.  The changes went Live today!  I should have Heart's Last Chance and NiKoh's Chosen up by next week:)  But in the meantime, here's a sneak peek at SaLie, the oldest daughter of the SiLah siblings.

“Now that I’ve given you a son, when will you make me Primary?” SaLie held her breath.

“Now SaLie, you know I prefer my solitary existence.” His chiding tone filled her with disappointment. “A Xaxonian military leader has no place in his life for a Primary mate.”

“I respectfully disagree.” SaLie took a firm hold on her courage. “As Secondary, I share your bed several nights a week, I listen to your troubles, and I accompany you on special occasions. Not to mention giving birth to your son. Isn’t that what a Primary mate does?”

DuKah shifted, pulling away from her to sit up. SaLie raised herself up her elbow.

“We’ve been through this.” His tone held a warning note. “A Primary is unnecessary with someone of my status. If I were to elevate you to Primary, you would have to return to Xaxa and be involved with the running of my household and raising our son. Forgive me, but you’ve made it clear you’d rather be at my side.” He flung back the covers and stood beside the bed. “Is that what you want?”

“Isn’t there a way around that? Elevate me to Primary, but let me stay here, working on the station, sleeping in your bed, loving you every night with my body…” SaLie got up on her knees and reached for his cock, feeling it come to life in her palm. “Your mother is already running your household.”

“Stop.” At his harsh tone, SaLie pulled her hand away and sat back on her heels, looking at him. “I will say this one time, and one time only. I will never elevate you to Primary. I am content with you as Secondary, no more. If you cannot accept this, I will have no choice but to inform your leader of your decision to return home. Understand?” He laid a finger over her lips. “Yes, I love you. Yes, I enjoy what we have together.” His hands went to her breasts and squeezed. “Stand up.”

Best of Both Worlds is now available on Kindle..

For a chance at a pdf of either Heart's Last Chance or NiKoh's Chosen, answer this question: What is the name of the joint space station?  I'll draw a winner at midnight later this week:)

I Haz New Cover Art!!!!

Book #3 of The Chosen, arriving next month:)

Excerpt:
“Your quarters will be adjacent to the Infirmary, as is the rest of the medical staff. Right now, the only injuries have been minor, but Dr. PaHej is eager to assemble a full team—”
“Wait a minute.” SaLie felt the turbo lift descend. “Did you say Dr. PaHej? I thought I’d be working with Dr. TaRon.”
“You will. Dr. TaRon is the senior medical officer, but since you’re here as a Pharmacological Expert, you will report to Dr. PaHej, in order to assist with assembling the medicines.” A look of concern crossed OkVei’s face. “Weren’t you told?”
“It’s all right. As long as he stays out of my way and lets me do my work, I’m sure we’ll get along fine.” SaLie inwardly seethed. “I thought he retired last year. He drove me crazy my first year at the Academy.”
“Oh no, Aunt SaLie. Our Dr. PaHej is his nephew, JeTil PaHej.” The turbo lift stopped and the doors swished open.
JeTil PaHej? Oh dear gods…this was getting worse by the minute. SaLie followed OkVei down the corridor, then stopped him when they turned the corner. “I had no idea JeTil PaHej had entered the medical profession.” She closed her eyes and leaned against the wall. “In what capacity will I have to work with him?”
“I-I don’t know, Aunt SaLie.” OkVei’s voice held a note of alarm. “Do you know him?”
Did she know him? Images of JeTil filled her brain. The way his dark blue hair curled at his ears. The strain of his shirt against his muscles as they lifted weights. The look in his eyes the night he’d kissed her for the first time. The weight of his body close to hers—
SaLie cleared her throat and shook her head to get rid of the images seared into her brain. “You could say that. We were classmates at the Academy."

Yes, I've been busy this summer!  I submitted a short story to the Washington Authors Group (Washington, In) and it was accepted.  Titled 'Murder In Meeting Room Three', it is a YA murder-mystery.  Here's a short excerpt.

“Kim said your story on Google Docs wasn’t quite finished. Will you have it ready by next week?  She also said-”
“I said the plot looked a bit weak.  Maybe we should schedule you for the next one?”
Tara sat up straight and took a deep breath.  “I have it finished in longhand and will post it to the site tomorrow.  It says that at the bottom, Kim.”
Kim giggled.  “Oh, I thought that was what your character said.  My bad.”
Tara flinched.  Of all the slang terms lately, ‘my bad’ was the one she couldn’t stand.
“Meeting adjourned then.  See you all next week.  Tara, the purpose of putting our work on Google Docs is so everyone can read them in time for the meetings.  If you don’t have your work up, then how can we critique it?”
“I do my best work in study hall, and last week my computer lit teacher refused to let me copy my stuff on the site.  I just haven’t gotten around to it.  I promise I’ll have it up tonight.”
“See that you do.”  With a flounce, Rita started for the door.
All at once, an alarm sounded and the lights went out.  Tara, who had just stood up, felt for the chair and sat back down among the screams.  The girls called to each other, finding their ways back to the table or pulling out their cell phones to illuminate their way.
“Where’s Rita?”  Kim’s frantic voice rose in pitch.  “I can’t find her.”
“I can’t open the door,” came another voice.  “It must be tied into the alarm system.”
The lights flickered back on, and Tara stood up to stuff her notebook back into her backpack.
            Kim screamed.  “Rita!”
Tara turned with the others.  Rita’s body lay prone in front of the door, blood seeping from her ear.

Before I start writing I do research either reading books or attending courses because I really feel it adds to the depth of the story it opens doors in my mind that I wouldn’t have travelled down before and I love discovering things that add such color to my story. I am about to start book three and I’m toying with the title The Power of The Gilgamesh…

Blurb:
Mia’s stuck in the human realm because the portal is closed, and her magic AWOL. Powerless, her sworn enemy, Greyson, kidnaps Mia ensnaring her in his spider’s web with an offer to restore her magic. Oblivious to the risks, Mia accepts, but spirals into madness, believing her destiny is to retrace the footsteps of her ancestor, the evil Queen Rhiannon.

Ryder visits London with his friends, and Fusion enters the Battle of the Bands competition believing the location of a portal to be nearby, but he’s bewitched by a beautiful siren. In a blood-thirsty battle for control, a friend’s life is sacrificed. Breaking all the rules, Ryder brings out the weapons namely ancient blades, and calls upon the Alltud, an arcane group for help.

In an epic battle, Mia must resist Rhiannon's possession or Ryder has agreed to end her life to prevent the queen gaining control of the Gilgamesh an omnipotent magical power, which will mean Armageddon for the humans.

It's time to put the greatest power of all to the test!

Excerpt:Snowflakes floated down like tiny cotton balls from the sky, and Mia opened her mouth wide, sticking her tongue out to catch one. The icy crystal tingled, and Mia giggled as it melted on the warm cushion of her mouth. Exhaling, small white clouds escaped, hovering in the freezing air. Snow covered her jacket until she removed her hands from the pockets, dislodging the thin layer. Shivering, Mia rubbed her hands together, but couldn’t muster the tiniest spark of heat to warm her ice-cold limbs. The exquisite silver filigree ring on her left hand that was embedded with tiny diamonds sparkled up at her, and she smiled. Ryder’s ring sat snuggly on her hand. Smiling, she stared at the delicate and handcrafted ring, but a gust of frigid air drew her attention and any warmth away.

Mia stared across the distance at the magnificent expanse of Appalachian Mountains barely visible through the wild misty snow and howling wind. She should be inside where the heat was ramped up so high it was like a sauna, but Mia needed the energy and chaos of the storm to recharge her magic. Arctic air nipped at her cheeks, letting her know that magic was out there. Focusing on the swirling mass of wind and snow, she stretched her hands out to harness its strength, but like a dead battery that wouldn’t charge, nothing happened.

A coiling fear twisted in her gut as the bitter cold sharpened her senses and she braced herself, ready. Time froze as if taking a deep breath, and she stared at the powerful storm, listening for him. Goose bumps rippled along her arms as a footstep landed behind her, and Mia spun around with her fists raised in the air ready to fight her demon. She stared at broad shoulders encased in a gray parka covered with a dousing of fresh snow, straggly dark hair and intense chestnut eyes that narrowed at hers. His mouth twitched into a smile and he stood still.

“Hey, it’s me,” Ryder complained, raising his hands in surrender and frowning before he pulled her into a strong embrace. Brushing her long hair back over her shoulders, he rubbed her cold nose with his before dropping a gentle kiss on her tightly closed lips. Her stiff shoulders softened. Mia masked her fears but as soon as Ryder touched her and met her gaze, he sensed them. He stepped back, taking his heat with him as he gripped her arms firmly. “You think he’s here, don’t you?”

She nodded, too afraid to say the words in case Greyson slunk out from the shadows in front of them. Instead, she snuggled closer into Ryder’s firm body as if his strength would obliterate her terror. Sliding her arms around his waist, she clung to him, and he hugged her back in a possessive hold. Mia rested the side of her face against his dove gray shirt, listening to his heart stampeding inside his ribs. In his arms, she was warm and safe. He smelled delicious, fresh with a hint of vanilla and musk, and for a moment she let go of the nightmares, knowing she was protected in Ryder’s embrace. He pulled his coat further around her as she trembled, shielding her from the world.

“Mia, please tell me we are not back on that precipice with Greyson? He cannot take what isn’t his. Don’t you believe in the power of our love? You’re wearing my ring on your finger, and yet the idea of surrendering yourself lingers. I can see it. I love you Mia, and I forbid it, do you hear me?”

Tears bubbled and fell down Mia’s cheeks as she twisted the beautiful silver Celtic knot ring he'd put on her finger earlier. It was a simple wide band with twists and knots, which flared out in the center to form a large filigree heart studded with tiny diamonds. She loved it. Ryder had given it to her saying that the heart was his, and it now belonged to her. Ryder removed his arms from around her back to hold her shoulders, creating a distance between them, and instantly the cold invaded. He lowered his head, searching her eyes, pleading for an answer, gazing intently for a response. Mia stared at his breathtaking beauty, unable to believe he was hers.

“I will never leave you. I will always be right here,” she said, stabbing her finger in his chest where his heart beat.

Welcome Evelise Archer:)

Today I'm delighted to have friend and fellow author Evelise Archer with me:)

Mini Blurb
50 and loving it. Can Tiara find her submission again? Will Julian lose the only woman he has ever loved?#GoldenYears #decadentpub

Blurb
On the cusp of turning fifty, Tiara, a submissive without a Dom or husband, desired to return to the lifestyle. Placing her destiny in the hands of Madame Eve and the 1Night Stand Service, will Tiara find all that she seeks? Or will a past love interfere with her future plans?

Excerpt:

“You still got it, girl.” Admiring her lithe and toned body in the full-length mirror, she donned the silk robe left on a hook.

She folded and stowed her costume on the chair so when she returned to the bathroom it would be readily available. Stepping into the dimly lit hallway, Tiara followed the recessed lighting located in the floor to where a DM stood ramrod straight, muscular arms crossed over his chest.

“You may enter.” He held the door open for her and followed her in. “Please remember to utilize your safewords, if necessary. Yellow to slow down and red to stop. If at any time you feel unsettled or unsafe, this button will send a signal to me, and I will enter immediately to stop all play. Do you understand?” The DM pointed to the panic button.

“Yes, I understand.”

“Enjoy.” Without a glance backwards, the imposing DM vacated the room. Stripping off her robe, she folded and left it on a chair for later.

The walls of the Doctor’s Office were a pale pink with brown accents. Her eyes were drawn to the intricate examining table with fur-lined stirrups at the base. The table appeared to be disjointed to allow for adjustable angles. She ran her fingers along the wardrobe cabinet, dark cherrywood sanded smooth to the touch. A queen-size bed, also dark wood, sat in the far corner. She stood at parade rest, eyes downcast.

Whew!

NiKoh and I have had quite a week:)  Six blogs in five days, plus begging  asking for votes for my nomination in the LRC Awards...and now getting ready for the 1st ever-EVER!-Midwest Writer's Workshop Convention in Indianapolis, right in my old 'neighborhood', where I lived from 1991-97!  Since I only see this area once a year now, I'm eager to see how the improvements to I-74 have changed intersections/traffic control.  Just hoping some of my favorite restaurants are still there!

Today, I was interviewed on Jamallah Bergman's blog, and she had the audacity to ask me which of my eleven couples I liked best.  I think I flipped a coin-no, I'm kidding.  Go over and see for yourself.

Also, Elodie Parkes let me take over her blog, so we're going back in time to when 12 y/o GiNae is getting ready to leave for the Academy, and 8 y/o OkVei doesn't want her to leave.  We all remember when friends move away....and the first letters exchanged?  I only had room for OkVei's first, but let's hope his spelling improved over the years!

Anyway, have a great weekend and the blog tour will continue again next week, so enjoy your two days w/o seeing my name everywhere, and don't forget to vote!  Tomorrow is the final day, so please get your votes in for all your favorite authors!

This includes Cindy Spencer Papes 'Dragons and Derigibles', up for Best Fantasy.  (I hope I spelled that correctly!!)

Go over to the LRC Chat Loop.

Not sure where to go from there?

Click 'More'

Click 'Poll'

Click on whatever poll you'd like to vote on and then select the book/author:)

Mine's up for Best Sci-Fi/Futuristic.

Please Welcome Cheyenne Meadows!

Welcome friend and fellow SCP author Cheyenne Meadows:)  I'm looking forward to reading this book!

Blurb:
Alex is desperate. Her cupboards are bare, her bank account empty, and she’s days away from homelessness. Then, her luck changes in the form of a position as a personal assistant to the baddest, scariest Enforcer around—Cannibal. The man cloaked in mystery, who carries a huge sword, and has scowling down to an art.

Not ready to give up her first job opportunity in months, Alex sucks it up, determined to earn Cannibal’s respect in the process. Hard to do when he threatens to cut off her toes for a snack and she breaks one of his cardinal rules her first day. Yet, she senses something special in Cannibal.

She can’t ignore the powerful attraction as she finds herself playing the part of his girlfriend for his dragon brethren and standing with him as the only ones capable of destroying an evil wizard determined to end the world.

Deep feelings forged in crisis tend to be fleeting. Alex understands the odds, but knows one thing—Cannibal and her heart are both worth fighting for.

Excerpt:
Yeah, I’m a typical woman with needs, wants, and desires. Cannibal is one sexy hunk. Not a big surprise that he gets my blood flowing.

But, he’s dang scary. Big, quiet, and deadly. Not to mention my boss. I was going to be attached to the ogre’s hip for the next few weeks. Thus, things like kisses, fondling, and touchy-feely moments were off the menu. I have morals. I have control.

And, I have the hots for Cannibal.

I banged my head lightly on the computer desk with a groan.

“That won’t help.”

I sighed. Of course he would return this very instant. I turned my head and peered up at him from my position on the desk. “How do you know?”

He eyed me for a few seconds before a ghost of a grin covered his lips. “I know lots of things.”
Sitting up, I began to squirm. Surely, he didn’t know I had briefly wanted to hop in his saddle and ride him like a racehorse. Nah. Not quite like that. Maybe more like a trail ride. Slow and steady with some bumps along the way.

Argh! No. No. No. Too late. The image was stuck like superglue.

My shoulders slumped in defeat.

He arched an eyebrow. I glared his direction.

The doorbell rang, rescuing me from participating in a conversation that I didn’t even know what the topic was.

Whispering a curse, Cannibal strode to the door. He just flicked the lock and opened it, not bothering to look out the peephole. Guess when you could be considered a deadly weapon all by yourself, there wasn’t much fear of who came knocking.

“Hey, bro. Long time, no see.”

I spun my seat around to check out the visitor. A man, similar in build and height to Cannibal stood at the threshold.

Cannibal slammed the door back shut.

I blinked and hurried over. “Who was that?”

“Wrong house,” Cannibal snarled. He moved to the interior of the room.

The doorbell rang again.

“Aren’t you going to answer that?”

“No.”

Author Bio and contact info:

Growing up in the Midwest, I began reading romance novels in high school, immediately falling in love with the genre, to the point where I decided to write professionally for a career. However, that dream splattered against a brick wall, resulting in a quick death in my first writing class in
college when my professor told me bluntly that I wasn't any good at it. I shifted gears quickly, and left my writing dreams behind, eventually settling on becoming a nurse.

A few years back, I stumbled across a fan-fiction writing site on a favorite author's webpage. I began to read stories others wrote, not only making some wonderful close friends from the experience, but also, really learning to write for the very first time. Here I was able to share short stories, practice my writing skills, and truly develop into a writer. More than that, the experience allowed me to revitalize my dream, as I rediscovered joy in writing.

Now, I spend my days off with my alpha male characters, quick witted heroines, and see how much trouble everyone can get into. When I'm not working or writing, I enjoy working in the garden, canning, and seeing my backyard as a living canvas for my whimsical landscaping, and, of course, reading romance novels.

#8 Is Here!

"2-4-6-8....who do we appreciate?  NiKoh!  NiKoh!  Neeeeee-Kohhhhh"

*Doing the happy Snoopy dance*  My 6th 'publishing birthday' isn't until May 19th, but it's hard to believe my eighth book is being released today.  This time last year, I was beginning to wonder if I'd even have a release in 2014, and now I'm scratching my head over the fact I'll have a total of four books out in 2015.  Okay, technically only three....but since I still haven't made up my mind as to who's writing Heart Song, due out in October, I'm counting it as mine until further notice!

Also, just a reminder:  Heart's Last Chance has been nominated in the LRC Best Of Awards, for Best Sci-Fi Rom Book of 2015:)  As soon as I receive the link, I'll let you know.  I'd appreciate any votes cast my way, since this is the first time I've ever been nominated.  I'd really like to get 1st Runner Up:)

I began writing NiKoh's story a year ago, while waiting for Brock's story to be accepted.  The story stalled after Ch 4, then little sister KiRah entered my brain and basically shoved her older brother aside so her story could be written first!  Then holidays interfered.....and finally NiKoh began 'talking' to me again after the first of the year, then basically wrote itself over the course of two weeks.  Two weeks!  Then, a friendly suggestion from a new member of my local writer's group helped inject new life into it during the editing process.  Isn't that great when everything finally comes together?

I've got a treat for you this month.  I'm taking NiKoh on a blog tour until the end of the month, so if you'll leave a comment on each one (or at least a select few!) with your contact info and what format you'd like a free book (you know me, I like to award free books at random!), then after the tour is over, one lucky comment will receive a special prize pack:)

Okay, enough stalling.  Here's your first glimpse of NiKoh.  Enjoy!

Blurb:
Still mourning the tragic death of his beautiful mate, could another Chosen one already be waiting for NiKoh SiLah? To avoid what he’s not ready to accept, he throws himself into his work at Planet Security.

Leaving the Academy behind to follow her dream of working with animals, GiNae SoJae returns home. Preoccupied with work and not ready to take a mate, she’s horrified when her body enters Maturity. GiNae fights the changes occurring within her. But during nightly dreams she cannot control, an unknown man teaches her the secrets of her body.

Will NiKoh and GiNae succumb to the paths they think have been chosen for them or will they discover the true Chosen life that awaits them?

'R' Excerpt:
“I cannot do this. I am not ready, NiKoh. Please leave.” BeSai clutched the folds of her yellow robe over her breasts and burst into tears.

NiKoh reached for her, but she pulled away and threw herself on the bed, her sobs ripping at his heart.

Helpless, he slid his arms into his black tunic and exited his mate’s bedchamber. He paused as BeSai’s nurse appeared in the corridor.

“Again?” She reached for NiKoh’s arm and squeezed it. “Your brother’s Bonding must have been too much for her.”

Anguish welled up in his chest. “I was hoping—it has been months, AnKie. When will she truly be my mate again?” NiKoh heard his voice tremor and break.

AnKie’s silvery face reflected compassion. “We do not know. Let me console her, then we will talk later.” She moved into the room and NiKoh heard her call out to his despondent mate.

He wandered downstairs to the eating area and poured himself a goblet of his favorite fermented beverage. He took the cup into the living area and sank onto a golden brown chair in front of the fireplace, contemplating his life.

It has been three seasons since BeSai lost the child, and OkVae is nearing the completion of his studies. Three seasons—no, four, since BeSai and I last made love. How much longer will it be? OkVei, their only son, was at the military academy, following in his father’s footsteps. Soon he will be ready to find his Chosen, while I wither away in sexual agony. NiKoh’s left hand adjusted the swollen bulge between his legs and willed his body to relax. According to the law, I am perfectly within my rights to seek relief with another, but it has been so long since I even looked at another female in that manner. For the thousandth time, he wished his father were still alive. I do not feel comfortable discussing this with Mother or even one of the Elders. He shook his head and a stray lock of hair tickled his eye. NiKoh released his purple hair from the leather thong and felt the shoulder length mass cascade past his neck. Ever since participating in his brother’s Bond Test, he’d discovered a certain freedom in wearing his hair long. BeSai had taken delight in grooming him and combing his thick locks.

He sighed and flinched when a drop of cold liquid splashed on his bare chest. The need welled up again; NiKoh gave into it, unfastened his slacks, and rubbed his cock. He placed the goblet on a table and closed his eyes, picturing BeSai when they had first mated. Her dark pink hair spread out on the carpet of green grass, silvery breasts tinged with dark blue. The sweetness of her body as it accepted the thrust of his thick cock. Their mingled sighs and cries as they reached toward the pinnacle—

Crash! “Oh!”

The female’s exclamation, which was not his mate’s voice, yanked him back to reality. Stickiness flowed over his fingers and sprayed his chest as he opened his eyes to see the wide look of horror on a young girl’s face.

NiKoh hastily pulled his slacks together and thrust his dripping left hand between his leg and the chair as the kitchen door burst open and his Domestic entered the room.

“GiNae, I told you to stay with me.” She reached the girl, who still gaped at him. “Apologies, NiKoh. She has just returned from her studies and apparently has forgotten her manners.” She pulled the girl back toward the kitchen.

NiKoh found his tongue. “ViShe, would you be so kind as to bring me a towel?”

“Of course.” The older woman pushed her daughter into the other room.

NiKoh fastened his slacks and drained the goblet. ViShe returned with a white towel, then withdrew back to the kitchen.

NiKoh cleaned up his mess as best he could, including the white droplets clinging to his lavender chest hair. Leaving the goblet, he gathered the towel in his hand and ascended the stairs to adjourn to his separate bedchamber for a shower. Normally used as a guest chamber, NiKoh had moved into it as BeSai’s depression worsened. Now it seemed it would be his permanent chamber. He was thrilled BeSai had agreed to accompany him to the Bonding Ceremony, and she had seemed receptive to his gentle kisses during the meal. But once they arrived home and were alone in her chamber, his once loving and gentle wife could not accept his hands on her bare skin and turned him away. Would he ever have a normal sex life with his mate again?

I Have Cover Art!!!!

My cover artist, Dawne, has worked her magic again:)  I love how she captured GiNae's blue hair:)

Here's the blurb and excerpt:

Excerpt:
“NiKoh, your pin has something wrong with it.”

NiKoh looked down at the Bonding Pin he had worn for the past sixteen years and frowned.  The marital knot in the center of his family crest had separated.  “It may have done that after BeSai’s death.”  His voice wavered a bit.  “I had not noticed.  Did yours do that, Mother?”

ReNae stepped closer to him and examined the pin.  “You are young enough to take another Chosen.  I have heard of this happening, and it usually means you are close to meeting her or have already done so.”  She peered into her son’s eyes.  “Are you aware of this?”

NiKoh shook his head, but a sudden vision of him with GiNae in his arms made him blanch and brought him up short.  No…it is not possible!

“NiKoh?”  His mother’s voice snapped him back to the present.

He shook his head to rid the picture in his mind.  “I am sorry.  So much has happened lately and I was not paying attention.  I need to return to the office.  Blessings, Mother.  KiRah.”  NiKoh teleported back to his office and told LyDie not to disturb him.

GiNae?  But she has not reached Maturity yet!

Maybe she is entering the first stages.  I have noticed I enjoy her company at our evening meal, and thought she seemed more relaxed around me.  I do not think I have been visiting her in the dream state…I may have to activate the sensors tonight.  If I remember correctly, BeSai and I had coordinating dreams.

But I remembered those!  Surely I would remember dreams.  I do not feel any different toward her than I did when she first came to live with us or even returned home from the Academy.

NiKoh paced the length of his office, searching his feelings.  Aside from his initial embarrassment at being caught self-pleasuring himself the night GiNae returned home from the Academy, he had not given her much thought, until demanding they join him for the evening meal.  Truthfully, it had been ViShe’s conversation he craved, but since GiNae had revealed an ability to tell humorous stories about her day, he found himself looking forward to seeing her.  But that did not mean she is my Chosen, does it?  It has been nearly twenty years since I went through this!

*******
At this time, NiKoh is due to release April 13th, but aside from having to write a prologue, the book is finished, with the exception of the final proof.  I'm hoping NiKoh will be released before my trip to That Book Place Author's Fair in Madison, In on April 4th.

Stay tuned!

Happy Anniversary SCP!

Congratulations SCP for turning FOUR today!!!  I've been with SCP now since May 2011, and couldn't be happier:)

Since that time, I've managed to go from Contemporary Romance to Sci-Fi Romance.  Not exactly sure how that happened, and hopefully once this series is completed, I'll return to my first love.  As I type this, I am very close to finishing the second book in my Chosen series.  This one follows Brock's older brother NiKoh, in the events after Heart's Last Chance.  For your chance to win a free pdf of Heart's Last Chance, simply tell me if you've ever written something completely out of your comfort zone, or ever taken a chance on a new genre.

Don't want to answer that?  Then simply wish SCP Happy Birthday!  Don't forget to leave your contact info!

Blurb:
Tricia Alexander’s dreams are haunted by a mystery lover. When she discovers the man she met in a nightclub is from another planet, will she accept his story or kick him out?
Brock was young Tricia’s imaginary friend and confidant, and watched her grow up over the years. After gaining permission from the leaders of his planet, he sought to bond with her twice before, but with little results. When he’s given a final chance, will he succeed? Or will a family crisis prove too much?
Instead of giving you an excerpt of Heart's Last Chance, here's a snippet of Mistaken Identity, arriving April 2015.  Enjoy:)
“Tis not proper,” ViShe exclaimed.  “Domestics should never occupy the same table as the master of the house.”
NiKoh scowled and shoved his plate away. “Since when do I observe division of labor?  There are many who think nothing of keeping their Domestic staff awake until the wee hours, only to insist they be awake at dawn.  I only insist on large breakfasts when I have company and most mornings I am capable of getting my own coffee and nourishment.  All I want is some conversation and focus my attention on someone else for a change.  Is that so bad?”
ViShe set down the empty platter she held.  “NiKoh, I know I overstep my bounds many times during our interactions, and yes, you have always been a courteous head of household.  But if GiNae observes a blurring of the lines, so to speak, she will continue to push the rules of society.”
“For God’s sake, ViShe!”  NiKoh pounded the table.  “I do not think society will fall if you and GiNae share a meal with me.  How about leaving the kitchen door open? I will move to the other end and we can converse through the door.  Will that satisfy your need for decorum?”
