Just Desserts Blog Hop

Good morning!  And happy weekend:)  I'm your host, Courtney Bright, and I'm here to entice you with one of favorite dessert recipe:) Enjoy!

Taffy Apple Pizza 1 (18 oz) pkg refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 C packed brown sugar
1/4 C creamy peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
Sprite/lemon-lime soda
Pinch of cinnamon
1/4 C caramel ice cream topping (optional)
1/2 C peanuts, chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 350.

Shape dough into ball, then roll out onto baking stone (or round baking sheet) 14" circle, 1/4 thick. Bake 16-18 mins or until light golden brown; cool 10 mins.  Carefully loosen cookie from stone/pan; cool completely.

Combine cream cheese, brown sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla and mix well.  Spread mixture evenly over cookie.  Peel, core, and slice apples, dip in Sprite or other lemon-lime soda (keeps apples from turning brown) then arrange over cream cheese mixture; sprinkle with cinnamon.

Optional:  Warm up caramel topping in microwave and drizzle over apples.  Chop nuts, sprinkle over apples.  Cut 'pizza' with pizza cutter and enjoy:)

Thank you all for commenting:) My family laughs at me, since I pick off all the apples and eat them separately. This is a good dessert to take to family gatherings. And thank you Pampered Chef!
